RFE alerts

Know about an RFE the day USCIS issues it.

An RFE sets a response deadline, and the paper notice can take a week or more to reach you. CaseTracker checks every case daily and alerts your team when USCIS posts a Request for Evidence or a Notice of Intent to Deny.

  • RFEs and NOIDs flagged on every case, every day
  • Alerts to the people who prepare responses
  • WhatsApp, email, or both
  • A record of when your team was told

Why RFEs slip

The deadline starts before the letter arrives.

Mail is slow

RFE notices travel by post. Days spent in the mail are days taken from your response time.

Easy to miss online

Without daily checks across every case, the status change to "Request for Evidence Was Sent" can sit unnoticed.

Costly to miss

Late or rushed RFE responses put approvals at risk and erode client trust.

How it works

How RFE alerts work

  1. 01

    Track every receipt

Import your caseload once. Every active case is checked against USCIS daily.

  2. 02

    Choose who hears

Team members turn on "RFE received" and "Notice of intent" alerts and pick WhatsApp, email or both.

  3. 03

    Respond sooner

The alert names the client, receipt and new status. The case stays highlighted until someone opens it.

What you get

More than an RFE notification

RFE and initial evidence requests

Both RFE and initial-evidence status changes are flagged as RFEs.

Notices of intent

NOIDs and notices of intent to revoke get their own alert type.

Response received

See when USCIS logs your RFE response, and what happens after.

Per-person routing

Only people who handle RFEs need to get RFE alerts.

Activity log

Each RFE change is listed with who was alerted and when.

Other events too

Appointments, approvals, denials and returned cases can be alerted the same way.

Guide

What firms should know about USCIS RFEs

What an RFE is

A Request for Evidence is USCIS asking for more documentation before it decides a case. The notice explains what's missing and gives a response deadline. A Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) is more serious: USCIS is signaling it plans to deny unless the response changes its mind.

How RFEs show up online

When USCIS issues an RFE, the online case status usually changes to wording like "Request for Additional Evidence Was Sent" or "Request for Initial Evidence Was Sent". This often happens days before the paper notice arrives, which is why daily status checks give firms a head start.

Using the head start

Knowing early lets you contact the client for documents, assign the response and plan around the deadline before the notice lands. The actual deadline is on the notice itself, so always confirm it there.

FAQ

Questions firms ask us

How fast will we know about an RFE?+

CaseTracker checks every active case once a day, so you'll know within a day of USCIS updating the online status, often before the paper notice arrives.

Does it tell us the RFE deadline?+

No. The online status doesn't include the deadline. It's printed on the RFE notice, so always confirm it there.

Can only certain people get RFE alerts?+

Yes. Each team member decides which event types they receive, so RFE alerts can go to the people who prepare responses.

Are NOIDs covered?+

Yes. Notices of intent to deny or revoke have their own alert type.

Can we try it before paying?+

Yes. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial for up to 20 cases, no credit card needed. Plans after that are $100 a month for up to 120 active cases and $150 a month for up to 400, with custom pricing above that.

Every day back on an RFE counts.
